"Esias: Remnants of the Past"
Demonic creatures, mortals and immortal, deadly idols and weapons, and a power-crazed madman are the cast of Esias: Remnants of the Past.
Esias Excerpts
Josephus had seen much of war the past years, but that never made him immune to its atrocities. By all accounts he was above its baseness, but the need of the allied races had called him to partake in its vice.
“I don’t believe war is the invention of a higher power. It only materializes from men’s ineptitude to relate to those they fear. That fear turns to hate, and inevitably to war. My race believes that this is God’s doing. I must dig deeper. I smell a foul stench in the Mane council. And that stench permeates our Bible also.”

“From which race are you?”
Methel laughed, then said, “For outside and practical purposes, all of them, yet in reality, none of them.” Then solemnity returned to Methel’s face. “Josephus Esias, you are in danger.”
Geld felt defeated. The only choice he saw was to compromise his conscience and follow the orders. He prayed that Josephus would understand.
The Drones were armored with breastplates and shields. As it was their destiny to die, the only offensive weapons given to them were old, rusty swords.
“These are the leaders I presume,” Rach said.
The other Drones nodded.
“I’ll contact Risal,” he said. “It looks like we had a rogue prophecy.”
It hovered over Jerel, the Mane’s capitol city, like a moon, moving as the earth rotated so
it was always in the exact spot over Jerel. Josephus cursed it under his breath. He knew
that cursing the Globe would be considered blasphemy, but he could care less, even if he
was suspended from his position in the Mane council.
In mid-air a mist appeared, and they forced Josephus through the mist. Soon, Josephus found himself in a dark, cave-like room. The room was as musty as it was suspicious, but Josephus knew that he must follow the two supposed councilmen to find the truth.
“Strength is a virtue, Josephus Esias,” the mysterious Savior said.
“Yet, tyranny is self-destruction,” Josephus returned, every word strained.
"All the inspiration from the Globe comes from me. It is merely a conduit for my wisdom and power.”
“I don’t want power that is used to coerce a questioning mind into submission,” Josephus said through clenched teeth, the pain worsening with every breath.
